Tell us about your previous career path at Aspöck Systems - and what prior experience you have brought with you!

“I have been employed as a designer at Aspöck Systems since May 2014. This is the first company I have worked at since completing my school-leaving certificate. After my primary education, I completed my studies at the HTBLA (Technical College) in Andorf, focussed on plastics and environmental technology”.

Which tasks does your job comprise, and which important characteristics are needed for your field of activity?

“In my position as a designer, I work a lot in projects concerning the further development and development of products, as well as their plastic and tool compatible design. Amongst other things, I deal with surface modelling and concept preparation whilst adhering to many norms and standards.

Technical know-how in the field of plastics processing, which I have brought with me thanks to my training, and a good sense of spatial awareness are essential in Design. As we are an internationally active company, excellent English skills are a prerequisite.

Software know-how, in particular CATIA, is important because we mainly use this program to create our drawings.”
 

Why do you work at Aspöck Systems, and which tips do you have for newcomers to the company?

“Its flexible working hours model allowing flexitime makes Aspöck Systems a family-friendly company. This criterion is certainly relevant to the majority of the employees here. The company has a good working atmosphere, which facilitates communications with the different divisions.

For newcomers to my division, knowledge of CATIA is a clear advantage, as it makes entry into the job much easier.”
