My career path before and at Aspöck Systems …

After secondary school, I attended the commercial academy in Grieskirchen for one year. Then I decided to do an IT apprenticeship because I liked the idea of alternating between vocational school and practical work in a company. After my 3½-year apprenticeship, I was particularly pleased that I managed to pass my final apprenticeship examination with a distinction. Since then, I have been responsible for first and second-level support for the entire Aspöck Group.

An exciting day at work … 

I start a typical day at Aspöck Systems by checking my emails and the ticket system. I focus on first-level tasks until the morning break. Afterwards, at 9:15 am, our department meeting starts, at which upcoming projects and open issues are discussed. After that, tickets are processed and everything that needs to be done is taken care of. After lunch, I get a notification that the new servers have been delivered. We unpack them, install them in the server room and get them ready for configuration. Suddenly I get a call from our location in Poland saying that the VPN connection to the location in Portugal is down and no longer active. I start troubleshooting and manage to fix the problem. After the work is finished, we go home.
